The final outcome

The aim of this brochure is to use to promote the Road Safety For Primary Age project.

These are the Matching Sign Card. The aim of this outcome is to get children to be familared with the traffic signs. The children can play in a group. At the back of the card, we put the Red Man and Green Man on the traffic light that will make children to remember about the traffic signs easily.

For the Observation Book, we would like to do something extra for the teaching tool kids from Vicroads. So we redesign the observation book that can record the children sound when they see the traffic sign. Also inside this book, it has the coloring traffic sign that will get the children to remember about the sign and be aware of traffic safety.

For the stop motion animation, in this episode we would like to teach the children how to cross the road safely. We create 4 main characters, Red man who always stress up. The Green man that's so kind. Tom and Jenny to be the children in the story.
We also recorded our sound to be used in this animation.

Shooting the animation

We took a picture and then we move the character and took a picture again. It is a stop motion. After that, we used the Flash software to run our animation and play it frame by frame. Also, we recorded the sound to be the conversation of the children.

Behind the sence

We prepared the scenes for the stop motion animation. We pained every item by ourselves.

Making the character

We made the characters for the stop motion animation. They are a boy and a girl. For the our material, we used the wire, softly frabic and clay.

Decoding the probe

With the clay, we found that the children really interested in making their favourite characters. These inspired us to make the character that related to traffic sign. So we decide to make the GREEN MAN & RED MAN CLAY ANIMATION.

From these drawing(Imagine when you are on the road), we found that some of them did not think about where the road is. So we claim that they did not beaware when they are on the road. According to that we would like to use design to get them to beawear of the traffic safety.

From the traffic sign cards, we found that most of children well understand about image traffic sign cards, especailly colourful sign cards. So we suggest that the message that we would like to communicate with the children should be not too much TEXT. Then we decide to make the traffic sign toy to infrom the children about traffic signs which is based on playful learning concept.

From the books, we found that they really like colorful 2D&3D books. So these inspire us to design the animation and toy with colorful design style.
